ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION IN GEOPARK ORIGINS

The FCE participates in the 7th edition of the International Cleaning Day

Last Saturday, October 19, as a result of the collaboration between the Orígens Geopark, the Society of Friends of the Mountain, the Ateneu del Pallars, the Ager City Council, Mountain Wilderness, the body of Rural Agents of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the FCE, with a notable representation of the ECE, two abandoned vehicles were extracted in the Montsec d'Ares.

ECE technicians, together with Rural Agents set up a 200 m lifeline to remove an old abandoned jeep on the slope of the Sant Alís mountain; while another group of volunteers scrapped another more comfortable access vehicle.

1 ton and a half of waste was collected and stuffed, which was removed by helicopter by the Grup d’Agents Rurals de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
